gchd2remote is a software version of the IR remote for the AVerMedia Game Capture HD II. It communicates with the device over the network.

You will need Python and its tkinter and requests packages installed to use gchd2remote. You also need to know your AVerMedia Game Capture HD II's IP address. If you have or can emulate a physical remote you can find the IP address by pressing Menu and going to Settings > Network > Current Network Info. If you don't have a remote, you can check your router's settings for a device with a MAC address starting with 00:18:1a. You can also scan your network for devices with TCP port 24170 open.
This software is released under no particular license because I'm very tired of the FOSS community and just want to enjoy using the computer.
